The purpose of this lesson is for students to conclude that fossil dinosaur teeth provide clues to what dinosaurs ate by completing an experimenting using wooden blocks and golf tees to grind up and tear leaves and cereal. Students will analyze the outcomes of the experiment to determine that animals with sharp teeth tear meat better and animals with flat teeth grind plant matter better.
