Measurement and Probability
Description:
This bulletin board was created during the Unit 9 math unit on measurement and probability. The purpose of this bulletin board was to be used as an early finisher activity during math to give the students extra practice with the skills being learned in the unit. Each week the information on the board changed, so if students complete the worksheet one week, the next week they can try again. In order to complete the problems on the worksheet for this bulletin board, students had to use the rulers provided on the board to measure each piece of yarn, read the temperatures on each thermometer, look at the "marbles" in the jar to determine the probability, and look at the spinner to determine the probability. Only 3 students were allowed to be at the bulletin board at a time. Students also had to ask permission to get up to use the board. Once students completed the worksheet, they placed it in the completed work folder, which I checked every day for correct answers and gave students treats for finishing the work correctly.
