Student Work Display
Description:
This bulletin board was created at the beginning of the year when I taught my first lesson to the students. My first lesson involved making inferences about objects that I had in a bag, then students created their own "my bags" in which they wrote information about themselves so I could get to know them. I decided to create a display outside of the classroom to display their work throughout the year. I took a picture of each student using a digital camera, printed the pictures, and added a colored-cardstock border. I laminated these pictures and posted them on the wall outside the classroom. Next to each picture, I posted the student's "my bag" artwork. Throughout the year, I updated the board with more student work that either my mentor or I did with the students. This was a way that every student's work could be put onto display so that no one got left out. It's also a way to introduce our class to anyone who visits the classroom; they can see all of the students in our class and see some of the work our students have done.
