What Will Float and What Will Sink?
Grade: 2nd grade

The purpose of this lesson is to help students understand that different characteristics need to be taken into consideration when examining the ability of an object to float and/or sink. Students will make predictions about whether they think certain items will float or sink, and then they will conduct the experiment and evaluate their results.
